This violin is made in the Hiroshi Kono workshop in Tokyo, Japan and finished at the Violin House of Weaver in Maryland. The Kono violin has a rich, warm tone that both blends into an ensemble and shines on its own. It has a very versatile sound, and adapts well to many different string types.

These instruments have graduated top and bottom plates, and may be fit with machined tuning pegs. These pegs are much easier to use than the standard friction violin tuners.
